[Slack] - Invite an external guest to a single channel
Let's say you have a project, and in that project you use slack to chat and collaborate. Now what if you have an external party on this project as well? Can they take part in this channel as well?
The answer is yes! You can invite an external guest to your channel. And they can take part in any activites within the specific channel. Here's how:
1. Head in to slack and within you "Direct Messages" in the bottom, you will find "Invite People"

2. Choose "Invite to workspace"

3. Fill out the email adress of the user you would like to invite and choose to invite this person as a guest

4. When you have choosen the guest options a couple of more options appear. You should add the channel that you want to invite to, and you can also set an automatic expiration of this invite as I have in this example.

5. After you hit send you will get some info about the invitation it self and also when it's expire

6. Your guest will get an email looking something like this and they can use the "Join Slack" button to get access to the channel

7. The new guest will need to fill out some information and after that is done they can choose "Create Account"

8. When they have gained access they will see the channel that they was invites to under channels and also the person that invited them to our workspace under Direct Messages

9. And even tho the user has the option to browse channels, they will not have access to anything besides the specific channel that they where invited to

10. You will aslo get notified when the new guest has joined slack
